Property Data Solutions is an independently owned South Wales based Chartered Surveying Practice providing a wide range of property consultancy services to assist property managers with their portfolio decisions.
We specialise in Asset Management data provision for Public Sector clients by combining technical property information with modern software technology to facilitate the delivery of consistent, impartial, detailed survey data for space utilisation analysis, planned maintenance exercises, key performance indicator reporting and backlog maintenance assessment…
Property Data Solutions provides a broad range of surveying services undertaken by professionals with vast experience in both the public and private sector. The latest hi-tech equipment is used to collect raw data in the field, which is then automatically uploaded into property databases, drastically cutting both administration costs and the risk of human error on data re-input.
The team has considerable experience of working with Portfolio Managers to collate asset management data, and has successfully delivered data for ongoing contracts for the surveying of both education and corporate buildings for a large number of local authorities, colleges and corporate bodies. Such long-term partnerships have numerous benefits, not least the consistency in data collection technique which leads to greater database accuracy, particularly relevant where regular condition surveys are concerned.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the RICS Property Measurement Professional Statement?
Property Measurement Guidance replaces the Code of Measuring Practice and is an international guidance note published by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The purpose of the Code is to provide succinct, precise definitions to permit the accurate measurement of buildings and land, the calculation of the sizes (areas and volumes) and the description or specification of land and buildings on a common and consistent basis.
Will data you supply be compatible with my computer system?
Property Data Solutions specialise in the provision of survey data in digital format. As well as having our own suite of survey software, we have delivered surveys into various Asset Management packages developed by third parties including Tribal, CIPFA, Atrium and Technology Forge. If you need data in a different format for your system then we are more than happy to accommodate any request.
What if I need additional survey data in the future?
We regularly update building floor plans we have previously surveyed and plans that were not originally surveyed by us. Undertaking walk-off surveys to review and update previously recorded condition data is also become more of a regular task. Please feel free to get in contact with us so we can advise further.
What is a Topographical Survey?
Topographic Surveys are used to identify and map the contours of the ground and existing features (i.e. trees, buildings, roads, walkways, utilities, retaining walls, etc.). If the purpose of the survey is to serve as a base map for the design of a building or road, it may also be necessary to show perimeter boundary lines and the lines of easements.
